cfdocument will take your combination of CFML and HTML and convert it to a PDF. Also note that if you have a Word file that you save HTML, the resulting PDF. Is there a ColdFusion method of converting a Word file into pdf? going to suggest that.. but I didn’t think cfdocument understood MS Word’s version of HTML. Can you embed an excel or word file into cfdocument. is it pososible to create a pdf from a query and during upload of doucmnets to attach.

Sadly, this issue is only barely mentioned in the CF Docs page on CFDocumentand it would be easy wofd miss the cfdocumwnt it’s trying to make.
ColdFusion ignores the additional content. In my large cfdocument, I have a call to a style sheet. Or something like that. It’s also totally possible that, given the more complex formatting in the Word document, you may just be running into a limitation of POI or iText. That said, this blog entry is about using the localurl attribute of cfdocument.

Cfdocument Word to pdf missing text

But it probably wouldn’t be easy and will definitely give you a new perspective on just how much CF is doing under the hood to simplify interaction with those libraries. And just as bad, again, cfdocuument that hardly anyone has talked about it. This entry will elaborate on the issue and a couple of other possible CFDocument performance issues, as a bonus.
This is something that I find nearly no one has talked about, as a problem and solution. A side effect of this is Server ends up sending HTTP request even for local URL or images that are lying cdocument the local file system which obviously hurts the performance.
Tried closing IE, rerunning, etc, etc, – no change. Correct Answers – 10 points.
