When reading this book, you must remember that it was scuell just after WW1, so it is tactically outdated. Easy to read –in total it may take around three to four hours.

Adolf Von Schell does a very good job of using real-world examples, most of them personal scehll, to illustrate key lessons. Chris rated it liked it May 13, Nevertheless, as leaders we must have some knowledge of the souls of our soldiers; because the soldier, the living man, is the instrument with which we have to work in war. If one is interested in the more human side of war, especially in regards to leadership, it’s certainly worth a read.
